Marielkis is a professional cuban dancer who has taught dance classes all over the world. Currently they have created their own dance school in Barcelona, but continue to travel through conferences and festivals of international dance around the world.
Marielkis began her academic training at the age of 12 at the "Luis Casas Romero" Vocational Art School in Camagüey. After passing the entrance exams with high marks, she entered the "Manuel Muñoz Cedeño" Professional Art School in the province of Granma, Cuba, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Contemporary Dance and Cuban Folk Dance.
Marielkis completed her social service as a folklore teacher at the Luis Casas Romero EVA (EVA) and later joined the Camagüey Folklorico Ballet, a prestigious national and international company, where she toured nationally and internationally. Marielkis earned the rank of Principal Dancer at the ballet, developing her career as a soloist for the oricha Oya.
In 2022, Marielkis began a new project with the internationally renowned dancer Danger Rodríguez in Barcelona. With this project, she travels the world to major international salsa and bachata festivals, bringing her art and culture to the world.
Her strength, her technique, her skill, her control of movements and her inexhaustible energy characterize Marielkis .
Marielkis will be with us for the first time at a Salsa feel the heat event and it is a great pleasure to have her and her partner Danger with us and we are sure that many participants will look forward to joining their classes.
