The Prince of Wales Hotel in Southport is a beautiful reminder of Britain’s Victorian Heritage, an elegant building with landscaped gardens. Throughout the reception, lounge area and bedrooms, the decoration has been kept intact, in keeping with the elegant and stylish character of the building.

All 154 en-suite bedrooms of the Prince of Wales hotel have been tastefully designed to preserve the Victorian style of this Southport hotel. Many of the rooms overlook Lord Street, the main shopping and entertainment area.

The Colonial restaurant serves excellent traditional fayre dishes and the Clubhouse bar, themed in true Golf style, has a friendly atmosphere. WIFI is free to all guests and is available in all public areas of the hotel.

This Southport Hotel is surrounded by a great number of attractions that appeal to all tastes. For those who want to spend time out in the fresh air, the local area has an impressive array of outdoor attractions which include Hesketh Park and the nearby Botanic Gardens, Martin Mere Wildfowl Trust, Southport Beach and Southport Pier, the Queen's Jubilee Nature Trail and the beautiful Kings Gardens, all within easy reach of the hotel.

Of course, with this years event taking place in a seaside resort there are other hotels available and many restaurants for those who want the option to dine out.

Please note any guests travelling by Car must enter their Vehicle Registration details situated in Reception on arrival at the Hotel to avoid any penalty charges as the Car Park is monitored by Parking Eye. Car Parking is chargeable at £6.00 for 24 hours with 90 parking spaces currently available and can get very busy. Car sharing highly recommended and arrive early if possible to secure your spot.

£162.00 per person for 3 Nights Bed & Breakfast plus £60 single occupancy surcharge

* Single rooms are limited and where possible we ask friends to consider room sharing. Once the single rooms are gone, rooms will be charged at the double / twin occupancy cost of £324.00 per room.

Twin / Double Rooms :

£162.00 per person for 3 Nights Bed & Breakfast, ie £324.00 for the room

Dinner can be added on for £14.50 per person per night at the time of booking.

Hotel bookings should be made with Central Reservations on 0161 923 9170 quoting the Salsa Weekend reference SALS050724 to ensure you obtain the preferential rates and confirm room availability, although please bear in mind, that the hotel will be unable to allocate specific room numbers.

The Hotel will take £50 per person as a Non Refundable Deposit when booking a room with the balance payable on arrival. Any cancellation of a booking 21 days prior to the event or less, then the full booking amount will be charged by the Hotel.

From Motorway(s)

M6

From the South - take the M6 to exit 26; the M58 will take you to Ormskirk and then take the A570 to Southport.

From the North - follow the A59 from Preston (exit 31 from the M6) and then follow the signs to Southport.

By Rail

Train services run from various towns and cities into Southport Train Station.

Northern Rail operates regular services to Southport from Manchester Airport, Manchester (Piccadilly, Oxford Road and Victoria stations), Bolton and Wigan.

Connecting services to / from the North East and Yorkshire are available at Manchester Piccadilly and from the North, Scotland and the South at Wigan.

Merseyrail run fast and frequent services between Liverpool South Parkway (for Liverpool John Lennon Airport), Liverpool City Centre and Southport.
